Netflix has teased fans with a first look at the eagerly anticipated series All the Light We Cannot See.

The four-part limited series features Mark Ruffalo, Hugh Laurie and Aria Mia Loberti.

The on-screen adaptation of Anthony Doerr's 2014 novel has been met with wide praise from fans keen to sit down and watch on as the lives of a blind French girl and German teenager with radio expertise play out.

The series, written by Peaky Blinders' Steven Knight and directed by Stranger Things' Shawn Levy, explains how the pair are able to find "faith in humanity and the possibility of hope" as the Second World War destroys lives around them.

In the teaser trailer, fans get a glimpse of what they can expect - but without any dialogue.

And while it's worked a treat to whip up a storm online, fans will be disappointed to discover they won't be able to tune in until November 2.

Commenting under actor Mark Ruffalo's Twitter post surrounding the release, one user gushed: "I love this book!!! So moving!! Wonderful to see you are part of bringing this amazing book to screens, @MarkRuffalo.

"Always great to see new talent given an opportunity with such important material as well. Will really be looking forward to this moving pictures version!!"

Another added: "Thank I am writing it down on my calendar so I don't miss it looks like a wonderful movie."

And a third excitedly penned: "Can’t wait to watch! I have been wanting to see more of your stuff (movies/shows)because I think you Mark are awesome, also a fan of Shawn’s work..such as Stranger Things.."

Many others took to the post to say they were adding the date to their diary, while some wished him luck, saying it is a "tough one to do justice".

Marvel star Mark stars as Daniel LeBlanc in the series. He is the dad of Marie-Laure, played by Aria Mia.

Hugh, meanwhile, plays the part of Marie-Laure's great uncle who is a reclusive World War I veteran who is suffering from PTSD.
