Katie Price to get 'five-figure sum for two-week Celebrity Cooking School stint'
Katie Price is profiting a five-figure sum for just "a couple of weeks'" worth of work on a new television show, it has been reported.
The former model could potentially earn more money if she stays in the competition for a longer period of time, despite preparing for an upcoming bankruptcy hearing.
Katie, 44, had taken a step back from television work in recent years following her drink-drive crash ordeal but appears to be getting back into the swing of things.
Reports now suggest she could pocket anywhere between £15,000 - £20,000 for just several weeks' worth of work on E4's Celebrity Cooking School.
Speaking to The Sun, a source said: "She's getting a massive payday for only a couple of weeks' work.
Katie Price and Danielle Lloyd 'bury the hatchet' after documentary feud"Her contract sees her bank more money the longer she lasts in the competition, and she'll get a bonus if she makes it to the final three, so she's looking at banking around the 15-20k mark if she lasts the duration of the series.
"Chances that she'll go the whole way are pretty high too as she's already done Celebrity Masterchef, so she has that advantage on some of the other contestants, and bosses know she's a big draw for the show so won't want to eliminate her early."
The mole added that even if Katie doesn't make it to the grand finale, she will still pocket half of her fee so "either way she's laughing".
"It's come along at a great time as she needs the cash to help with her dire financial situation," the source continued, before adding that Katie wants to be back on reality TV.
In a bid to relaunch her career, Katie has appeared on GB News and claimed that she was preparing to write a new autobiography making it her seventh memoir.
She explained: "My next autobiography, I tell you, this one is going to be the best one.
"Oh my God, the dramas that I have had lately in my life, well, I've survived it now but now I'm making a comeback, I really am."
The former glamour model recently avoided court for her upcoming bankruptcy hearing over her £3.2 million debt repayment.
She previously agreed to pay £12,000 a month but has not been sticking to the deal, according to those owed the cash.
The hearing at London’s Royal Courts of Justice on February 9 had been set for last June but was postponed at the last minute.
