The messages included cannibalistic fetishes and rape fantasies.

Speaking to CNN, the district attorney's spokesperson did not specify the identity of the complainant or complainants.

Hammer, who has not been charged in the sexual assault case, said at the time that the allegation was "outrageous".

Through his attorney, the actor said his interactions with the woman and other partners have been "completely consensual, discussed and agreed upon in advance, and mutually participatory."

A 24-year-old woman made the allegation against Hammer during a virtual press conference in 2021.

After spending time in rehab, the Call Me By Your Name actor claims he would not undo the past few years in an interview with Air Mail.

"I'm now grateful for everything that's happened to me. I'm now a healthier, happier, more balanced person. I'm able to be there for my kids in a way I never was.

"I'm truly grateful for my life and my recovery and everything. I would not go back and undo everything that’s happened to me."

He added: "I had a very intense and extreme lifestyle.

"I would scoop up these women, bring them into it, into this whirlwind of travel and sex and drugs and big emotions flying around, and then as soon as I was done, I'd just drop them off and move on to the next woman, leaving that woman feeling abandoned or used.

"I'm here to own my mistakes, take accountability for the fact that I was an a*****e, that I was selfish, that I used people to make me feel better, and when I was done, moved on. And treated people more poorly than they should have been treated."
