Lizzo hits back at cruel trolls and says 'I am the beauty standard'
Lizzo celebrated her body in a candid video she shared on Instagram.
The 34-year-old was previously subject to malicious comments on social media over her weight but fans jumped to her defence.
The Grammy winner has now showed herself some love in footage where she described herself as "God's favourite."
Lizzo said: "I just finished showering and doing my little routine, and you know what I realized, I am f****** gorgeous
"I am the beauty standard. Catch up, b****!"

She wrote in the caption: "I'm sorry that my perfect face & rockin body offends you... I can't help that I'm God's favorite ."
A tweet over her weight previously sparked discussion, with some fans interpreting it as fat-shaming and having since come to Lizzo's defence.

Fans defended the singer (Instagram/lizzobeeating)One person wrote: "Lizzo is a beautiful woman, regardless of her size. She's not only a talented singer but is a kind-hearted and hilarious person as well."
They continued in their tweet: "The shape of your body doesn't define your character. It is your personality and how you treat others that defines you. Lizzo, you go girl!"
Whilst another commented: "Even if I didn't know who Lizzo was, I definitely would choose her just based on the photo. She looks so loving and peaceful and full of light".

Some shared their thoughts on the original post, with one person having written in a tweet amid the discussion: "[She] desperately tried to body shame the gorgeous Lizzo".
Whilst one person wrote in their response to the situation this week: "Body shaming is never okay".
Fans came to her defence following the tweet earlier this week (Redferns)Not everyone was supportive amid the discussion though. Some people took the opportunity to question supposed support for 'obesity' and expressed health concerns.

"This isn't body shaming," commented one person in their response. Another accused some people of trying to "normalise obesity," whilst others said obesity isn't healthy.
One person wrote: "Not everyone agrees that obesity is gorgeous." Sharing their opinion, they said it's "incredibly unhealthy," adding: "But I don't bash overweight people."
Another commented amid the discussion on social media: "Does anyone being fat equate to them being less of a person? No. Should they be glorifying it? Also, no."
Lizzo seems to have addressed the situation in a post this morning, having simply tweeted: "Lizzo." It appeared to be her response to the choice between her and the other person, though it wasn't a direct reply to the original post.
It comes after the singer addressed critics in a separate post on social media earlier this year, with her having said in a video: "The discourse around bodies is officially tired".
She added: "Do we realise that artists are not here to fit into your beauty standards? Artists are here to make art and this body is art. And I'mma do whatever I want with this body".
