Jeremy Renner has admitted he now feels "hope" after almost dying when he was crushed by his 14,000lb snow plough just five weeks ago.

The Marvel star took to Instagram on Thursday to share a picture of his Lake Tahoe home, where much of the snow that once obstructed his front door has melted.

The 52-year-old shared his happiness that the snow has gone and said he feels hopeful as a result.

"This melt brings HOPE... And a new entrance into my house it seems. Right in the front!?!?" Jeremy wrote alongside the snap.

Jeremy's update comes after his Avengers pal Evangeline Lilly revealed he is now "wheeling himself around" in a wheelchair.

Speaking at the premiere of Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania, she said his recovery is a "miracle" and praised her "legendary" friend for being "incredibly brave and strong".

Jeremy has an extensive recovery plan in place after he was dragged underneath his Pistunbully snowcat on New Year's Day.

Sharing a picture of his recovery plan, Jeremy wrote: "Morning workouts, resolutions all changed this particular new years …. Spawned from tragedy for my entire family, and quickly focused into uniting actionable love.

"I want to thank EVERYONE for their messages and thoughtfulness for my family and I …. Much love and appreciation to you all.

"These 30 plus broken bones will mend , grow stronger, just like the love and bond with family and friends deepens . Love and blessings to you all."

Jeremy was attempting to save his nephew before he was crushed by his snow plough, leaving him with 30 broken bones.

Reports say the vehicle's parking brake, which could have prevented the horror ordeal, was not engaged - causing it to slide sideways, rolling over Jeremy's body.

According to a redacted Nevada sheriff's office incident report, Jeremy had been using the vehicle to free his relative's truck out of the snow before the terrifying incident.

Following the incident, those close to Jeremy said the damage to his chest was "substantial".

One of his friends said: "It's much worse than anyone knows. Jeremy is very aware of the fact that he almost died out there."
