Bachelorette star shares jaw-dropping show salary - "It's about love and money"
The Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristowe has shared the shocking salary she received from her time on the dating show franchise.
Kaitlyn, 37, broke down the exact figures she received from the show's big wigs after she entered tense negotiations via an entertainment lawyer.
Sharing the scoop on a podcast, she confessed her time on the hit ABC series was about "love and money" as she tried to wager a better deal for herself.
However, she admitted fans will be surprised to hear how little she actually received, despite holding out for more.
The reality TV star explained she only pocketed $1,500 between season 19 of The Bachelor and season 11 of The Bachelorette in 2015.

Speaking on the Trading Secrets podcast with her fiance Jason Tartick, 34, Kaitlyn confessed the offer on the table to became the main face of the Bachelorette: "I think they offered me $40,000," she revealed. "You’d think I’d be like, ‘Jackpot! Sign me up!'"
However, despite the excitement of on offer being on the table, she was advised to enter a negotiation spell and hired an entertainment lawyer to do so.
"He changed a lot and negotiated my contract big time for me," she added.
"One of the executive producers said to me, 'You got an entertainment lawyer, and you’re asking for this amount of money? I’m sorry. I thought this is about love for you.'
"F*** off! It’s about love and money, OK? They go hand in hand for me right now," she revealed before adding: "Because they said you’re going against Britt, I was like, ‘I’m not doing it.’ And then I said, 'I’ll only do it if you paid me as much as you paid Chris Soules.' I said I wanted to make the same as he did."
Chris was the face of The Bachelor for season 19, in which she finished third after being eliminated in week nine.
Despite Kaitlyn's fears that she'd be overlooked as she played hardball, she ended up becoming season 11's Bachelorette.
She was a fans' favourite thanks in part to her often inappropriate sense of humour. In her season, she ended up choosing Shawn Booth, 35.
Despite dating for three years, the pair never made it down the aisle and eventually announced their split in November 2018.
