Kylie Minogue gives her number to British indie rocker after Paul Solomons split
Kylie Minogue recently gave her number to Kooks guitarist Hugh Harris, the musician has revealed.
Hugh, 35, recently stumbled across Australian singer in one of London’s glitziest private members club Annabel’s while he was 'so drunk' - so drunk in fact that he plucked up the courage to ask for her digits.
While Hugh has yet to check if the number is legit, he recalled the moment during an appearance on the latest episode of the band Flawes’ Meet at the Hotel Bar podcast.
"I met her recently at Annabel’s and she’s lovely, she’s a really sweet woman. I was so drunk that I actually asked for her phone number," the Kooks star revealed.
"I couldn’t believe what I was doing. I was like, “Am I gonna do this? Yeah, i’m gonna do this” – “Can I have your phone number please?”‘
Kylie Minogue 'splits from boyfriend' after five year romance"Her friend next to her was obviously like, “Who the f*** does this guy think he is asking for Kylie’s phone number?”
Hugh went on: "But do you know what she did? She turned around and she was like, “Yeah of course, here you go,” and it was this gorgeous moment."
"I don’t know if it’s her real number or not. I haven’t tried it."
It comes after the pop music icon, 54, is believed to have called time on her romance with GQ exec Paul Solomons ahead of her long-awaited new world tour.
The last time Kylie and Paul were pictured together was in May last year, when the lovebirds walked the red carpet of the ABBA Voyage together.
A source close to former GQ executive Paul has claimed that the pair 'just couldn't make things work'.
"Long distance isn’t easy for any couple. Kylie and Paul really tried to make things work but ultimately the time difference was a killer - Paul couldn’t exactly nip to Melbourne for a long weekend whenever things got strained," they shared in February.
"Kylie initially wanted to keep the split quiet though as she really does not want the narrative to be ‘poor, unlucky-in-love-Kylie’s heartbreak’s again," the source told The Sun.
The source added that Kylie is a 'powerful, hugely successful woman' - and she isn't going to let her heartbreak get in the way of her future.
Although they have split, Kylie and Paul remain friends, according to the insider.

The Australian pop star appears to have removed all trace of Paul from her Instagram grid.
Kylie and Paul first hit it off back in 2018 when they met through mutual pals.
While their romance seemed to be going swimmingly for years, in 2021, the pair faced heartache amid the Covid pandemic when they were forced to spend more than nine months apart.
While Kylie was back in her hometown of Melbourne, Paul was holed up at home in London.
Lifting the lid on her long-distance relationship with Paul last year, Kylie said: "I’m quite used to it. What is difficult is explaining it and I’m hovering around that right now because I don’t have a traditional set-up when it comes to my relationship.
"I don’t have the white-picket-fence life. We are in a very good space and we cherish that right now. We use the term ‘fluid and pivoting."
Kylie's representatives declined comment when approached by The Mirror.
