EastEnders' Patsy Palmer teams up with rarely seen daughter for hair loss advert
Patsy Palmer has posted a clip with her rarely seen model daughter on Instagram.
The EastEnders legend, best known for playing iconic Bianca Jackson in the BBC soap, shared a short video with 21-year-old Emilia Merkell, who is signed to the Storm modelling agency.
Mum and daughter were speaking about hair loss, particularly during lockdown, as people found themselves more stressed than they had ever been.
It comes after 50-year-old and launched her Good and Proper website in 2020.
Her brand focuses on hair and healing products and encourages people to adopt a wellness-centric beauty routine, an everyday mantra practice called Manetra “that enlightens the whole person”.

Patsy has restyled herself as a wellness guru (Instagram)Discussing the important topic in their Malibu home, Patsy captioned the post: “If you aren’t yet familiar with my brand @goodandproperhair here’s a little clip of a lovely chat I had with my daughter @emiliamerkell about my beliefs about how to maintain healthy hair and healthy mind.”
Referencing lockdown, Patsy starts the clip by saying: “Because of all this stuff a lot of people’s hair started falling out and they were calling it 'Covid shock'.
Daughter Emilia replies: “I do know of people who were really stressed and that happened to them so much. They would wake up and on their bedsheets their hair had fallen out.
“And it is so much because of stress, even at my age.”

“Because in the oils, we have a lot of essential oils that are very, very good for hair regrowth.
“But I actually don’t believe that those products alone are going to help that to happen because if you hair is falling out because of stress, the stress is inside you, inside your body.”
She added: “And unless we start addressing the inside, I really don’t believe that the outside will maintain that level of growth for very long.”

She now lives near Malibu with husband Richard Merkell and their three kids – Fenton, 22, and 21-year-old Emilia, who are both models. They also share 12-year-old son Bertie.

Patsy has an older 31-year-old son from a previous relationship with boxer Alfie Rothwell.
Charley is also an actor and has appeared in films Dunkirk, Darkest Hour and Legend about the Kray twins, alongside Tom Hardy, and TV shows such as Our Girl.
