Christina Aguilera admits she lost her virginity 'later than you would think'
Christina Aguilera 's sexualised reputation in her early 20s was well publicised, with the Dirrty singer's scantily clad appearance often raising eyebrows.
However, despite the public's perception of the singer, she admits she was actually one of the last people in her group to lose her virginity.
The singer, who burst onto the scene thanks to Genie In A Bottle at the age of 19, quickly changed her appearance in future songs, such as Lady Marmalade and Candyman, where she wore very revealing outfits.
Now 42, Christina revealed on her Call Her Daddy podcast that it's "funny" how people used to view her.
"It's so funny that I gave this persona because I probably was the last person to lose my virginity," the songstress confessed.

"It was something that was for me. I guess that's why my messages went the way they did too because I owned it first, maybe."

She laughs at how people used to perceive her because of her appearance (Getty Images for Vanity Fair)The mother-of-two was then probed further by podcast host Alex Cooper about when she actually lost her virginity and, despite keeping the answer vague, Christina revealed: "It was later than you would think, given the girl that was doing 'Dirrty' and all this stuff. It's more of a funny thing looking back."
Opening up further on her sexual experiences at the start of her career she explained how she had certain dancers she was closer to.
"You're traveling a lot and you have accessibility to only certain things. It is what it is."
And she also confirmed that she "didn't really have time" to date celebrity men and instead preferred to go for "things that I would feel safe about".
She continued to say dating a star in the same industry simply didn't appeal to her as she knew how busy their schedules would be and the issues that could crop up from life on the road.

"My anxieties couldn't maybe take somebody that did the exact same thing I did. I know how this goes. I'm too vulnerable for this. I'm too sensitive to be so paranoid."
Now, she is thankful for a more "peaceful energy" and has urged those trying to bring up past beef and speculation to "grow up".
It comes after Pink recently responded to accusations she had slammed the star for her role in the Lady Marmalade song.

Pink took to Twitter to squash speculation surrounding her comments, saying "Xtina had s*** to do with who was on that song" after people thought she had criticised her involvement.
