Deadly gran shoots and kills gunman trying to rob her food truck as she cooks
A deadly grandma shot and killed a gunman who tried to rob her food truck while she was cooking up.
According to police, the drama began when a man pulled up in a car and asked what the food truck sold.
Keshondra Howard Turner, 53, and her brother, who help run the family owned business, were working at the time.
Houston Police Department Lt Bryan Bui said: "They show him a bag of chicken and the guy pulled out a gun."
The gunman lept out of his car but Ms Turner's brother managed to close the window. The would-be robber tried to open the window and got his gun into the truck.

Ms Turner started Elite Eats in 2020 with her family (Twitter)The family have said the gunman then tried to shoot but his gun jammed, it was then that Ms Turner used her own gun to fire off multiple shots, hitting the gunman.
The wounded robber ran 50 feet before collapsing to the ground. He died at the scene.
The suspect's vehicle was seen with a broken window still within the crime scene.

Ms Turner had a panic attack after the shooting and had to be taken to hospital where she made a full recovery.
Her son told KLOU she would never have wanted to use the gun but didn't have a choice.

He continued: "I hope she's alright because I know right now she's going crazy because that's not even (like) her."
He added: "She's a Godly woman, that's why the gun jammed because God jammed it."
Family member Jacqueline Mitchell said: "Ox tail, and we’ve got good hamburgers, pork chops, wings. People come from all over to eat here".

Inside the food truck (KHOU 11)In a brief statement posted online, a spokesperson for Houston Police Department wrote on the day: "Homicide detectives are en route to 14500 block of Main Street after a male was fatally shot about 1 p.m.
"Prelim info is the male was attempting to rob a food truck at the location. No other info as the investigation is on-going."
Ms Turner started Elite Eats in 2020 with her family and have been selling soul food out a parking lot in Houston Texas since.

According to Houston police, 2022 saw a decrease in overall violent crime which was down 8 per cent and the murder rate was down 9 per cent compared to 2021.
There were 435 murders last year, compared to 477 in 2021.
