Here. We. Go.
The Amazon Spring Sale is now live. Unlike the firm's Prime Day and Black Friday events it's open to everyone without paying a subscription - although of course if you sign up for a thirty day free Prime trial you will get speedier delivery as well as the opportunity to watch Daisy Jones and the Six (can recommend).
So what do we have up so far?
As expected, device deals are the home of large savings - with some of the biggest deals around Amazon's Kids' Fire tablets (up to 40% off), Ring home security devices up to 42% off, and Echo Dots going down to £29.99, a saving of 45%.
The Kids Fire tablet is one of my first recommendations of the night. Amazon has taken £60 off the Amazon Fire HD 10 Kids Tablet and Amazon HD 10 Kids Pro Tablet. The Fire HD 8 Kids and Fire HD Kids Pro Tablets have also been reduced by £60 and there is £50 off the Fire 7 Kids tablet.
All versions offer the tech spec you would expect from Amazon, including front and rear-facing cameras, 12-hour battery life and up to 32GB of storage. For older children, there is access to more apps and web browsing and fewer restrictions from the parental control side.
They also come with durable cases to make them more resistant to knocks, drops and everyday kid life, and the Fire HD 10 comes with a larger 10-inch screen. The real beauty of the Kids Fire HD range though is the one-year Kids+ subscription service that comes with the purchase and includes books, TV and game aplenty at no additional cost.
I bought these the Black Friday my children were four and six and with the tablets lasting three years so far (with frankly a terrifying amount of grime, goo and drops along the way) they've been worth every penny.
