Wagamama will be giving away ramen across all of its restaurants next Tuesday - however, not everyone will be able to claim the freebie.

Wagamama will be offering free noodles to the first 60 university students and apprentices who show up between 3pm and 5pm on Tuesday, March 28.

Covent Garden Wagamama will be opening its doors for the "ramen rush" from 4pm.

Students who want to claim the dish will also need to be a part of the chain's "Noodle Union".

The Noodle Union was launched last year in collaboration with online YouTube personality Niko Omilana, who was appointed president of the union.

The Noodle Union is a society for students and apprentices which offers members discounts and perks to enjoy.

The offer is another perk offered to members of the Noodle Union.

The free ramens on offer next week are the grilled chicken ramen, chilli chicken ramen, teriyaki vegan "chicken" ramen.

The deal will only be available for those dining in the restaurant so those wanting to order a meal will not be able to claim the freebie.

Students will also be required to show proof of student or apprenticeship ID and their noodle union membership.

You can do this by showing your Whatsapp or email confirmation.

For Wagamama fans in London, the Camden store will be beginning the giveaway earlier at 11am running on until 3pm.

This is because the restaurant will have a special visit from the Noodle Union president himself Niko Omilana.

Niko said: “To celebrate and welcome our existing and new members, as the noodle union president I am proud to announce the ramen rush – a day to celebrate bowls of nourishment for the nation and maybe even a hello from me.

"Make sure to sign up to the noodle union so that you don’t miss out on a free ramen and other epic prizes throughout the year."

It comes after The Restaurant Group announced plans to open at least five new Wagamama sites each year, for the next three years.

But the company will be closing dozens of Frankie and Benny's and Chiquito restaurants over the next two years - and turning some of these into Wagamama outlets.
