Tyra Banks announces Dancing with the Stars exit for dramatic career change
Tyra Banks has announced she's quitting Dancing with the Stars as she wants to focus more on her own businesses.
The model, 49, has been on hosting duties for the hit show for three seasons but is set to hand over the reins as she pursues her entrepreneurial aims.
Since taking on the role in 2020, Tyra has won rave reviews for her skills in front of the camera, but it's going to be a new scoop she focuses on in the future - an ice cream scoop.
She said she has put her heart and soul into her new products and soon intends to bring her SMiZe & Dream ice cream to the US after initially launching it internationally.
She confirmed the news to TMZ, telling the publication: "Oh my God, SMiZe & Dream. We've been working hard."
Strictly's Kai and Nadiya on how they kept their romance underwraps for monthsShe added: "You're going to see us this year."
And when asked how she would juggle all her ventures along with her TV schedules, she confessed: "I'm really focussed on business. Like crazy, crazy focussed on business.
"I feel it's time for me to really focus on my business and my entrepreneurship and also producing more TV, but behind the scenes. So, you know what, I think it's time to graduate from the dance floor to the stock market floor."
Joking she'd just made a mic drop moment, the supermodel laughed and confirmed she thinks it is time to step away from the show to focus her heart and soul on other ventures.
Prior to Dancing with the Stars, Tyra was involved with America's Next Top Model and The Tyra Banks Show. It remains to be seen what her current behind-the-scenes work would entail.
She has recently been attending fashion weeks across the globe and was spotted in Paris with her boyfriend Louis Belanger-Martin.
The TV personality also shared a selfie with her fans on social media as she stared straight at the camera with a hand lightly placed on the side of her face.
