NFL GM drinks shot with star player Kelce after signing with team in video
Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman celebrated Jason Kelce agreeing to come back for another season by the two men drinking a shot together in a hilarious video.
Prior to the 2022 season, Kelce announced his intentions to retire after 12 years in the sport, spending them all with the Eagles where he has become a franchise legend.
The Eagles even drafted his replacement in Cameron Jurgens in last year's NFL Draft, with Kelce mentoring him throughout the season. But Kelce would go on to play one of the best years of his career, ranking as one of the best centres in the league at the age of 35.
And with the Eagles believing that they will be able to challenge for another Super Bowl in 2023, Kelce has agreed to re-join the team on a one-year deal.
On Twitter, Kelce announced the signing himself. He tweeted: "I have put much thought into whether it makes sense to play another season. After talking it over with my wife and many other friends and family, I have decided to return for another year. Thank you to all my supporters and detractors for fueling me, I ain't f***ing done yet."

And afterwards, a video was posted on Kelce's podcast's social media of him and Roseman celebrating with a shot of whiskey. In the video, Roseman said: "To next year. Vegas baby. We’ve got a long way to go," in reference to next year's Super Bowl.
Kelce started all 17 games last year and has been the captain for the last eight seasons, being a beloved character in the team.
After re-signing, Kelce will now likely become the Eagles leading appearance maker ever, just 12 games away from that record held by David Akers.

"I think that's the big thing. It's a grind. I know that I could still probably come back and perform at a high level or a good level.
"It's getting harder every year. I'm nowhere near the player I used to be. Jalen Hurts makes all of us look a lot better and makes my job a lot easier.
"It's only going to go [downhill], and whether you can be accountable to your teammates and perform at that level and mentally you have the energy to be the difference maker that I feel I am in that regard, all that stuff will factor in"
