Two more charged with murder after 24-year-old dies in fatal shooting in street

Police investigating a fatal shooting in a quiet suburban street have charged two more people with murder and attempted murder.

Kai McGinley, 24, was found by police after reports of shots being fired in Pembroke Road in Erith, Greater London, at about 8.50pm on February 9. Despite the best efforts of crews from the emergency services to save him, he died at the scene.

Connor Brooks, 20, of Horsa Road, Erith, and Bradlee Reeve, 33, of Chapman Road, Erith, have now been charged with murder and attempted murder, Kent Live reports. The Met Police said they were due to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court today (Saturday).

Enriko Spahiu, 20, of Elmhurst, Belvedere, and Jalees Selby-Gangera, 18, of Woodfield Close, Erith, were charged on Thursday with murder and attempted murder. They appeared in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court and will next appear at the Old Bailey.

The force added that a girl aged 16 who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and a man aged 53 who was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder had been released on bail.

A boy aged 17 who was arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder has been released with no further action. All were arrested overnight on Thursday (March 9) into Friday (March 10).
