Karren Brady was left with tears running down her face and unable to film due to two contestants on The Apprentice.

The 53-year-old Baroness has been an aid to show judge Alan Sugar on the hit BBC One reality series since 2009 and is featured in the current season.

In unaired scenes of the current 17th season of the show, cameras were forced to stop rolling after Karren was unable to compose herself due to a task involving Megan Hornby and Simba Rwambiwa.

Karren had joined the two contestants during an immersive challenge where Megan and Simba were tasked with acting like prion officers.

Speaking to Birmingham Live, Megan explained that Karren was left crying with laughter as she took on the challenge with Simba.

Megan explained: “”The immersive experience, hands down was my favourite day and I think Simba would say the same thing. I can’t even tell you how much fun we had doing it, we had Karren Brady in stitches, crying with laughter.”

And the lols were so extreme, apparently, that Karren was unable to continue filming.

Megan said: “She couldn’t even film because she was laughing so much. Honestly, one of the best days of my life."

Megan’s update comes after Simba was voted off the show in the most recent episode.

Lord Sugar told the unsuccessful candidate: "Simba, if you don’t say anything worth listening to, then are you somebody who could qualify to be my business partner?

“They say every dog has its day and sadly, Simba, it’s not your day. It is with regret, you’re fired!"

Simba had been the last male contestant standing - prompting some online discussion after he was voted off.

One viewer taking to Twitter remarked: “"Clearly Lord Sugar just wanted an all-female final five again no way Simba should have been fired #TheApprentice."

Another tweeted: "@Lord_Sugar You have got it wrong again #LordSugar. You sacked #Simba from #TheApprentice. He was the only mature, intelligent apprentice in the team of 3. He was unfairly treated tonight. Nobody could talk over the mouthy girl!"

And another viewer fumed: "#TheApprentice Simba DID NOT DESERVE TO BE sacked! Project Manager, Megan, was incompetent, giving a confused brief & then creating an inedible dog food. Dani was hopeless! Useless at marketing but would not listen to anyone other than her own mouth! Every guy has been sacked now!"
