Early birds can catch the worm thanks to easyJet, as the budget airline has just released heaps of cheap flights for 2023 and 2024.

Although the carrier hasn't announced an official sale, it has released tickets for flights over winter, and when we took a look there were bargain flights from £29 each way to be found to the likes of France, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal and Greece.

For those planning to hit Christmas markets, you can find cheap flights to the likes of Berlin, Budapest and Prague, while skiers can currently snap up fares from £32.99 to Geneva, Grenoble and Innsbruck, all of which are an easy transfer across to some of Europe's best ski resorts.

It's not just flights on offer either. easyJet Holidays has a series of cheap packages with prices from £196pp including sunnier destinations like Turkey, Morocco and Tunisia, for those hoping to escape to some winter sun.

Of course it's worth noting you may need to pay extra to bring more hand luggage - make sure you check easyJet's hand luggage rules to avoid any nasty surprises!

Finance guru Martin Lewis previously tipped off bargain hunters about the offers, warning them to set alarm clocks for new deals especially for travel around Christmas.

It's not the first time that travel experts have warned Brits that when it comes to cheap flights, it's all about timing.

For example Scott Keyes, founder of travel site Going, told CNN there is a 'Goldilocks window' you should aim for.

For short haul flights, aim to book from three months to one month before. For long haul trips, the window is much longer - from two to eight months before take-off.

Many price comparison websites such as Google Flights now have graphs tracking the price of a flight overtime.
