Serving police officer charged with four counts of rape and false imprisonment
A serving police officer has been charged with four counts of rape and false imprisonment, a police force has confirmed.
Christopher Henderson, 40, was arrested on Tuesday February 28, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson confirmed.
He was charged with the offences yesterday.
Henderson served GMP in their City of Manchester district.
A GMP statement read: "On Tuesday, February 28, 2023, a 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of rape and was taken into custody for further questioning.

"He will attend Manchester and Salford Magistrates court on Friday, March 3, 2023."
Henderson was due before Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court today.
He continues to be suspended from his duties, the BBC report.
