A woman is fuming after noticing that the tradesmen renovating her house had eaten all of her crisps - and left the packets strewn in different rooms.

Before moving into the new property the woman and her husband are getting some work done to it and have a lot of people working on different jobs in the house.

They are also there a lot of the time decorating or doing other bits around the place, so they have a lot of food there for when they work.

But the woman was far from happy after seeing her crisps gone and considered raising it with the builders.

In the Mumsnet, she adds her partner does not think she should confront the tradesmen about it as nothing can be done now.

The woman, who remained anonymous, explained: "We are currently renovating a property before moving in. We have all of our furniture there but are staying elsewhere.

"The windows are currently being renovated. When I went in to see the progress I noticed my multipack of crisps was empty and there were several empty packets of crisps strewn in different rooms."

She added that she has a lot of food in the property as they are often there doing work.

"My partner says there isn't any point in raising it. Nothing will come out of it," she said.

In response, many felt she was being quite uptight and should probably leave it as it is just a few crisps.

One person wrote: "I probably wouldn't make a fuss about a few crisps. If they are doing a good job then it's a relatively small price or pay."

While another stated: "Tradesmen are priceless these days. I'd be buying him more crisps and also treating them to lunch."

A third penned: "I can see why it's annoying but what's the cost of a packet of crisps in relation to the value of this work being done well?"

A few were more sympathetic to her as one stated: "Of course raise it! They are stealing what is not theirs."

A fifth noted: "I'd raise a complaint about not putting stuff in the bin and not respecting your personal belongings. Any workman should know better."
