Mane makes his feelings on Liverpool's poor season without him perfectly clear
Sadio Mane is "convinced" Liverpool "will be back" amid their struggles this season.
Jurgen Klopp's side have strived for form since Mane, 30, joined Bayern Munich last summer. The Reds are seventh in the Premier League - nine points behind Tottenham in fourth with two games in hand. They have also been dumped out of the FA Cup.
Liverpool are also on the verge of being knocked out of the Champions League. They lost 5-2 at home to Real Madrid in the first leg of their last-16 tie and have a mountain to climb in the Spanish capital on March 15. Yet Mane is not too worried about his old club.
"Liverpool will be back," Mane told German outlet Bild. "I'm convinced they will overcome this situation. They had many injuries and tough tests, but Jurgen Klopp is definitely the right man. He will lead Liverpool back up, from this season - the players love him."
Liverpool seem to have turned a corner in recent weeks. They have picked up seven points from their last three Premier League games to reignite their top-four hopes. Klopp's side will be hoping to secure another win at home to Wolves on Wednesday.
Marcel Sabitzer completes Man Utd transfer after last-minute deadline day dashLiverpool have some big Premier League games on the horizon. Four of their next seven domestic outings are against Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and league leaders Arsenal. Victory against any of those teams would breathe new life into Klopp's team.

The defeat to Real will concern Liverpool supporters - many of whom believe the sale of Mane has contributed to their downfall. The Senegal international enjoyed six successful years on Merseyside - winning six trophies, including the Premier League title.
Mane's time in Germany has not quite gone to plan. He has scored only six Bundesliga goals and has just returned from a three-month injury lay-off, which forced him to miss the World Cup in Qatar. The forward made his comeback against Union Berlin last time out.
Bayern's Bundesliga form has also been indifferent. The German giants are top of the table, but only on goal difference. That being said, they are going strong in the Champions League after beating Paris Saint-Germain in France during the first leg of their last-16 tie.
Mane insists he has no regrets over the transfer and would have only joined Bayern after leaving Liverpool. The former Southampton star enjoyed a two-year spell with Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg earlier in his career. He added, "I never had doubts.
"When I decided to leave Liverpool, I only wanted to go to Bayern, to the Bundesliga. I know the league from my time in Salzburg, I didn't watch Premier League back then, but the Bundesliga. Bayern was very attractive to me back then."
Mane has also insisted he does not "see any team bigger than Bayern" in Germany and believes they are "one of the biggest in the world". He continued: "The history of the club is attractive - that was the case for me when I decided to move to Munich."
