Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna reportedly plans to launch her own reality TV show in a bid to 'take on Kris Jenner and The Kardashians'.

The US telly star, 59, announced earlier this month that she was leaving the hit-Bravo programme after eight seasons, spanning over almost 10 years.

But now an insider claims the mum-of-two is plotting to become 'the most powerful reality mogul in Hollywood', overtaking momager Kris' decades-old empire.

Her exit from Real Housewives has allegedly "set her up for a payday of epic proportions" - something bosses can "build a major reality franchise around".

After rumours she was sacked from the show, a Bravo insider claims Lisa and her family want to "lock something down by May".

"It's going to be interesting to see if Bravo steps up and develops a new show for Lisa or if she pivots into streaming the way the Kardashians have," they told The U.S. Sun.

"Lisa is kind of the T-1000 version of Kris Jenner, and she's going to be utterly ruthless and relentless about nailing down her next reality gig.

"Stepping on other people's toes is the last thing she's worried about, and nobody is positioned better to be a successor to Kris and that franchise than Lisa and her family."

The Mirror has contacted Lisa's representatives for a comment.

It comes after claims Lisa will be 'impossible to replace', with executive producer Alex Baskin describing her as one of a kind.

The TV personality recently admitted she "hated" the last year of filming RHOBH and said stories were often shown from just one person's point of view.

Speaking about her departure, Alex said: "I think you never look to replace someone who just departed — because there is only one Lisa Rinna."

He also said producers "look for someone is going to both fit in and stand out" whenever the show needs a new addition.

"You want someone who has relationships with the rest of the group, someone who will be a real girlfriend to them and, at the same time, someone who will make a distinct impression," Alex told Page Six.

Speaking to PEOPLE, Lisa said the decision to leave was made when her contract expired after the last series.

She said: "This is the longest job I have held in my 35-year career and I am grateful to everyone at Bravo and all those involved in the series.

"It has been a fun eight-year run and I am excited for what is to come!"
