Anthony Gordon has told Newcastle fans: “you ain’t seen nothing yet” after forcing his way out of Goodison.
Everton confirmed on Sunday that the England U21 star had joined the top three club for a fee rising to £45m, after he “submitted a formal transfer request” in search of a big money move.
And Gordon, who has scored just seven goals in 78 appearances for the Blues, insisted that his stats are not a fair reflection of his talent, when he said: “People haven't seen what I'm capable of yet.
“So I feel like it’s a really big step - and I think I can really excel being here. I am not nervous about moving, I am really excited, and it is part of maturing.”
Gordon’s move from Everton has been shrouded in massive controversy, with fans from the club he has represented since he was a small boy angry at the manner in which he forced his way out of Goodison.

“It’s been such a tough week for me because I never imagined I would leave like that, but they have got a lot of money for me, and I’m hoping they can reinvest that in the squad.
“It was extremely difficult to leave Everton, I’ve been there my whole footballing career - but this was an opportunity I just couldn’t miss out on.”
