Gemma Atkinson and Gorka Marquez have sparked speculation they have secretly tied the knot.

The couple, who recently announced they are expecting their second child together, have been engaged since the Strictly Come Dancing professional, 32, popped the question on Valentine's Day in 2021.

Former Hollyoaks actress Gemma, 38, admitted last year she and Gorka were considering a registry office wedding, due to wanting a low-key affair when they exchange vows.

But eagle-eyed fans of the two stars think they may have already married in secret, thanks to spotting a tell-tale sign on Instagram.

Pregnant Gemma showed off the couple's new kitchen to her fans online earlier this week, following renovation work in their home being completed.

As the former soap star thanked her building team for their hard work, fans spotted a clue the actress and Gorka have already tied the knot - a couple of mugs inscribed with the words 'Mr' and 'Mrs'.

The possible newlyweds first met thanks to Strictly Come Dancing in 2017 when 37-year-old Gemma was a contestant competing for the coveted Glitterball trophy - although the pair didn't actually take to the dance floor together during the radio presenter's time on the BBC show.

Speaking about their wedding plans last year, Gemma said: "There have been a few times now where we’ve driven past a registry office and said, ‘Shall we just go in and do it? Yeah, let’s do it!’"

"We’ve not planned anything other than we know we want it really small and really intimate," she added when chatting with OK! magazine. "We’ve agreed on just close family, a handful of friends, and a big party a week or so after. It’s just finding the time really. We’ve had lots of people saying, ‘You clearly don’t want to get married if you haven’t done it yet!'.

"But I think it’s because we’re so happy with how it is."

Earlier this month, Gemma announced the news she is pregnant with her second child - after welcoming daughter Mia into the world in 2019.

In a candid black and white photo of herself in a pair of tracksuit bottoms and a vest top, Gemma was pictured gazing down at her bump with a small smile.

She tweeted: "Impossible to hide my belly any longer. I’ve officially 'popped.'

"Our baby boy will be joining our family later this year.

"We feel so incredibly blessed and Grateful to be on this journey again. Mia is absolutely thrilled! Although we may need to do some negotiating on names, as so far she’s adamant he’s going to be called Barbie."

Gorka reshared the post, tagging it with a simple "#blessed" comment.
