Love Island has teased an explosive weekend episode of the show on Sunday evening, after the Islanders played a round of dares in the villa.

The ITV2 reality dating show returned with another explosive episode this week as the winter series gets well underway with new host Maya Jama.

Love Island has seen multiple romances blossom in the past days as the Islanders mark nearly two weeks since they walked into the South African villa.

Towards the end of Friday evening’s episode, the Islanders played a game of dares as night fell in South Africa.

Each Islander had to pop a balloon in the sexiest way possible in order to unlock their dare.

The dares included Olivia snogging the two Islanders that she thinks are most attracted to her and first, she picked Tom and then second she picked Spencer.

In a subsequent eye-popping dare, Love Island Australia bombshell Aaron was asked to reveal which Islander he thought was most likely to talk behind his back – and slightly inexplicably picked Zara.

Tom was then dared to name the three Islanders that would make up his perfect partner and he picked Olivia for face, Zara – who he is currently coupled up with – for body and Lana for personality.

Then, to cap it all off, when choosing the most and least compatible couple in the villa, Lana went for Zara and Tom for the latter.

The various attacks on Zara in the dares left many Love Island viewers at home sympathising with the model as they felt her fellow Islanders were ‘ganging up on her’.

Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “This villa is actually bullying Zara?? It’s so uncomfortable to watch.”

A second penned: “I acc feel so bad for Zara she seems so uncomfortable in this challenge it’s literally aimed at her.”

“Why is Zara getting dragged from all angles??” a third demanded as another wrote: “I know Zara's eyes are OPENING WIDE.”

As Love Island then aired a teaser clip for Sunday evening, one added: “Ok I feel bad for Zara now that was too much to deal with in one go surprised she’s not crying in the promo.”

The teaser for Sunday night’s episode showed Zara venting to the girls the same night over the result of the dares, appearing to take a major issue with Tom’s breakdown of his ideal girl in the villa – for which he only picked Zara for ‘the body’.

Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
