Regé-Jean Page has finally received the title he deserves as he has been declared the world's most handsome man.

The 35-year-old actor had women across the world swooning in his breakout role as the Duke of Hastings in Netflix's hit series Bridgerton, when it was first released in 2020.

Since undertaking the role in the Shonda Rhimes produced period drama, Regé-Jean received critical acclaim as he received an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series and was even nominated for a Pimetime Emmy.

He has also been tipped to replace Daniel Craig for the role of James Bond.

And now, in another accolade to add the actor's collection, he has been officially scored as the world's most handsome man.

The formula is mathematical algorithm, which was used by the ancient Greeks, and rates the symmetry and apparent attractiveness of a person's face.

Cosmetic surgeon Dr Julian De Silva found the Bridgerton star's face scores a 93.65% in terms of the algorithm.

Meanwhile, Men in Black star Chris Hemsworth came close behind Regé in second place with a score of 93.53% and Blank Panther hunk Michael B Jordan was rated in third place with a score of 93.46%.

Harry Styles came in fourth place with a score of 92.03%, according to the Golden Ratio, while Jude Bellingham came in fifth place with a 92.22% rating.

Dr De Silva used computer mapping techniques to help get the results.

Bridgerton fans will be disappointed to hear that Regé-Jean's handsome visage will not appear in the new series of Bridgerton.

There had been claims the actor was in talks to return to the Netflix show in June last year.

"Rege-Jean was always very open about his intention to quit the show after the first season and to move on to other projects. But recently there has been a dialogue between him and the show’s bosses," a source told The Sun.

"Nothing has been formally agreed yet, but watch this space. Things are very up in the air at the moment, but this will be an exciting year for Rege, without a doubt."

But, he later put the rumours to bed with a post on Instagram photo of himself and Jonathan Bailey in Milan.

He wrote in the caption: "The boys are back in town.

"(No, I’m not going back to the show btw - the papers made that one up.) But we had the best, and most stylish, catch up I’ve had in a while over some truly excellent Italian coffee and sunshine".

However, fans of the actor are able to see him in Netflix movie Gray Man, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, which comes out in March.

Meanwhile, it was reported earlier this month that filming for Bridgerton had been delayed amid reports a number of the show's scripts had to be re-written.

The Netflix production will now reportedly see filming delayed after executive producer Shonda Rhimes deemed a set of storylines on the show to be ‘too dark’ for the racy drama.
