Aaron Carter's twin drops bid to control estate, choosing neutral administrator
Aaron Carter's twin sister Angel has reportedly dropped her bid to control his $550,000 estate outright.
It's said she's instead agreed with the singer's fiancee Melanie Martin, who is mum to his 14-month-old child, to hire a third party to be administrator.
On Wednesday at probate court in downtown Los Angeles, her request to withdraw her motion to be administrator was said to have been granted by Judge Michael Small.
The judge signed off on the deal to appoint financial consultant Aileen Federizo as administrator, meaning she now has "full authority" over the estate.
It's reported that neither Angel nor Melanie were in attendance on Wednesday and another hearing has been scheduled for June 25.

It's then likely a trust will be set up for son Prince to ensure he's looked after until he's at least 18. It's believed the youngster will then be set to receive the remainder.
Due to the fact Aaron died without having a will, California law states his estate must go to his next of kin, which in this instance is Prince as Aaron and Melanie weren't married.
Aaron died at the age of 34. He was discovered in his bathtub on November 5 at his home in Lancaster, California, after police officers received a 911 call at 11am. His representatives later confirmed his death, with the exact cause still pending confirmation.
His older brother, Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter, has since released a tune in his honour. In it, he sings about wishing his brother was able to overcome his demons to live a plentiful life.

He goes on to say that while it hurts to love Aaron, he still does.
