Supercars flood London streets for funeral of traveller shot dead in US

Rolls-Royces,, Porsches and Lamborghinis have turned out in force for the funeral of a “conman” traveller who was shot dead in the US.

Salis Hanrahan, 20, allegedly part of an international crime organisation, was gunned down at 75-year-old George Barr’s home in Philadelphia.

Hanrahan, who was allegedly in the US illegally, was reportedly shot in the chest and killed on July 8.

Barr has since been arrested and charged with murder, possession of an instrument of crime, and recklessly endangering another person.

Meanwhile, a funeral has been held for Hanrahan, a member of the Irish traveller community from Essex.

A procession of supercars turned out in Hayes, London, for the send off – bringing the high street to a standstill.

Crowds gathered to take part in the procession alongside a fleet of expensive motors.

Images from the funeral show a slew of swanky cars making their way through the quiet streets.

Police also appear to have been in attendance with cop vans following the procession closely.

A group of well dressed men were seen walking along the high street carrying Hanrahan’s coffin and a cross made from flowers.

The procession was led by a grey Rolls Royce with a golden ribbon attached to the bonnet ornament.

A picture of Hanrahan with “RIP” printed across it was displayed on the rear window of a Lamborghini Urus during the funeral.

As well as swanky cars, motorbikes and a horse drawn carriage adorned with dozens of roses and a crown joined the display.

Hanrahan is said to have been shot in the US during a dispute over how much construction work at Barr’s property would cost, police sources told the Daily Mail.

A construction team had been installing cladding on the building when the dispute broke out.

Philadelphia police said contractors were working on the back of Barr’s home shortly after 2pm when they heard a shot from inside the property.

Local cops said: “They heard argu­ments or some kind of com­mo­tion inside, and then they found the boss out­side.”

Hanrahan was rushed to hospital but passed away despite the best efforts of medics.

Local outlet KYW reported that the Brit traveller tried to charge over £50,000 for work on Barr’s 1,200sq ft home – allegedly much more than it should have cost.

One neighbour claimed Hanrahan and his team had been “asking for more money” every day.

It was previously heard that Hanrahan had entered the US illegally, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

This came after he was denied a standard tourist visa.

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection had not made any contact with Hanrahan before his death, the DHS added.

After the killing, Hanrahan’s family have spoken out to brand his alleged killer “scum.”

His sister Lisa-Marie said: “The scum that took my baby brother lord pls why us.”

Another one of Hanrahan’s relatives said that Barr was “evil” for the alleged murder.

However, some of Barr’s friends have hit back – with a Philadelphia firefighter union spokesperson saying he was once an “exceptional firefighter” and that the alleged altercation was “way out of character.”
