New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones give a cryptic response when asked about his future with the team after their playoff loss this past weekend.

The 25-year-old had career-best numbers in almost every possible statistic tracked, showing his athleticism as a runner as well as having a talented arm - leading the Giants to the playoffs and a win in the postseason after beating the Minnesota Vikings.

But when they ran into the 14-3 league leading Philadelphia Eagles, they were well beaten, with their lack of star power showing when the Eagles defeated them 38-7 to end their season. Jones' career-year has likely earned himself a lot of money, as he showed what he's capable of doing as a league starter.

This upcoming off-season, as many as 12 teams may be looking for a new starting quarterback, with Jones likely a name to be bid on between clubs, with the Giants hoping to keep hold of their man.

But when asked how much he wanted to return to the team, Jones gave a non-committal answer, as he told reporters on his future: "We'll get into that down the road. At this point, this is still very fresh and we will take some time to re-group."

The Giants have been a team whose name has been mentioned in the upcoming Tom Brady sweepstakes. Like Jones, Brady is also set to become a free agent and will be a name for a number of teams to be interested in - with the Buccaneers also looking to replace Brady should be agree to leave.

The Giants had been one of the shocks of the season throughout this campaign, with many expecting to them to struggle whilst having a roster without many superstars players. But with new head coach Brian Daboll, quarterback Jones played the best football of his career, playing like the player that they would have hoped for when they used the sixth overall draft pick to select him, following three shaky seasons prior.

At 25 years old, and likely not going to break the bank, the Giants will likely look to tie Jones down to a long-term deal, but it remains to be seen if he will look to get more money from another team.

Other free agent quarterbacks include Lamar Jackson, who might be the best quarterback to ever become available in free agency, after winning the MVP just three years ago and still being 26 years old, whilst Pro Bowl quarterback Geno Smith is also to become a free agent after not agreeing an extension with the Seattle Seahawks.
