has revealed how she believes her son visits her every night as a fox.

DJ and music entrepreneur Jamal, who was made an MBE for his services to music in 2014, died on February 20 last year at the age of 31.

He passed away from a heart attack after taking cocaine and drinking alcohol.

As the anniversary of her son’s tragic death approaches, 53-year-old Edwards has said she feels her late son's presence in the form of an animal.

Since he was 15, the music magnate had loved foxes, and would film them in his back garden.

Loose Women panellist Brenda explained how she can feel him around her all the time as she has usually hostile foxes begging for her attention.

"I have foxes coming up to me and sitting like a dog and waiting for me to stroke them,” she told the Daily Star.

“I don’t see foxes anywhere, then when I finished my panto and went back to my apartment, there was a fox sitting outside patiently waiting for me.”

Jamal gained fame after setting up the music platform SBTV in 2006 and was credited with helping to launch a string of UK music acts to stardom, including Sheeran, Dave and Jessie J.

Brenda told the publication how her Christian faith is helping her cope with her grief and that she is holding onto the belief that she will one day be reunited with Jamal and her parents - who died when she was four years old.

She added: “It keeps me going and helps me face the day. I’m here to spread joy, love and laughter.”

Last week Brenda revealed how Jamal’s long-time friend Ed Sheeran “was literally at my house for a week, just looking after us” after the death of her son.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Brenda spoke about Sheeran’s upcoming song, which he has dedicated to Jamal.

“Ed sent me the final edit two days ago and I’ve kind of been in and out of crying ever since,” she said.

The singer and Loose Women panellist went on to explain how Sheeran, 31, has supported her and her daughter Tanisha since Jamal’s death.

“Going back to Ed, when Jamal passed he was literally at my house with me and Tanisha for a whole week just looking after us," she shared.

“There wasn’t anything that he wasn’t sorting out and doing if we needed anything, and everybody has been so, so wonderful and so supportive.”
