Plane crashes into building in Brazil city as pilots killed in mid-air disaster
This is the shocking moment a plane crashed into a building in a densely populated city in Brazil.
The aircraft was seen circling the Silveira area of Belo Horizonte, in the southeast of the South American country, before colliding with a low-rise building.



The pilot and co-pilot died, according to Globo.
The pilot was trapped in the wreckage and three others were seriously injured, the local fire department said.
No one in the building was injured.
The aircraft took off with five people on board from Pampulha Airport at 12:16 p.m.



Emergency services were summoned to the scene of the crash at 12:25 p.m.
The pilot had reported to the Pampulha Airport control tower that he was experiencing difficulties taking off.
Lieutenant Raul of the Fire Department said: “It [the aircraft] hit between the third and fourth floors, in the stairwell.
“If it had hit the sides, it could have struck some residences; those apartments were occupied.
