A mum and her seven-year-old daughter were discovered decapitated at home in a murder that has shocked their community.
Edineuza Carvalho Rodrigues, 24, and Lívia Thauane were found in their home in Brazil after reporting safety concerns.
Neighbours called police after noticing "strange movements" in the property in Casa Nova, Bhaia three days before Christmas.
The prime suspect for the gruesome attack is believed to be Edinueza's former partner, who is Lívia's dad, reports The Sun.
Edineueza reportedly broke up with him around 12 months ago, but they are said to have been in contact with each other from time to time.
