Body found after skull discovered hanging from tree in north London

Most of a body has been discovered after a head was found hanging from a tree in north London.

The remains were found at Brooke Wood, off The Ridgeway, Enfield, yesterday afternoon by a council worker.

After finding the skull, police found around 80% of the rest of the bones underneath along with some ID.

It is believed the body may have been there since September 2022.

A Met Police spokesperson confirmed they attended.

They said: ‘Enquiries continue to establish the circumstances but the matter is not believed to be suspicious at this stage.’
