Four men arrested after teenage girl assaulted in Surbiton park

Four men have been arrested on suspicion of sexual offences, including rape, following reports of a teenage girl being assaulted at a park in southwest London.

Police were called at precisely 7:13 am yesterday to Fishponds Park, Surbiton.

Officers established a crime scene at the park, and forensic searches are ongoing. The four men remain in custody.

The Met stated that the teenage girl was being supported by specialist officers.

A Met spokesperson said: ‘We understand this news is concerning for the community and we will be increasing patrols in the area.’

The force urged those with information to get in contact with the police.
