THERE’S a Million reasons to get stuck into Lingfield’s all-weather card.

The freezing weather has played havoc with the jumps racing but MILLION THANKS (2.12) should warm us up.

He showed plenty of potential when trained by Kevin Ryan last season and he’s since been snapped up to join talented trainer Kevin Philippart de Foy.

The way he travelled through his races last season suggested he might be better suited dropping to this 7f distance and he won first time out last spring.

He’s also been gelded since his move of stables and he’s a lovely big horse, so it’s easy to think he will have improved since last summer. Have 2pts each-way at 9-1. Most bookies are paying out on four places with Sky Bet stretching to five.

Lingfield’s card kicks off with a staying handicap over 2m.

It’s not hard to figure out why REECELTIC (11.55) has such a good record over this course and distance.

He’s won twice and also finished runner-up in four runs over track and trip. The demands of this course suits him well as he has a nice finishing kick that’s ideal at this venue.

Chelmsford isn’t anywhere near as suitable so it’s not worth getting carried away with his below-par effort there three weeks ago. Have 2pts win at 8-1.

SWEET FANTASY (1.37) is my third Lingfield fancy.

She has been in good form since switching to the all-weather this winter. Although her sole victory in those three races came over 1m4f at Southwell, it was sandwiched by decent efforts at this track over today’s 1m2f distance.

Her most recent effort, when fourth behind Winter Oaks fancy Al Agaila, showed she has what it takes to win a race like this handicap. Have 1pt each-way at 10-1.

Haydock has a chance of surviving the cold snap.

It’s nearly three years since ITCHY FEET (3.10) won the Grade 1 Scilly Isles Chase and he never really progressed over fences.

He returns to hurdles in the 3m handicap and looks very well weighted having shaped like a stayer in a Cheltenham chase on New Year’s Day. Have 1pt each-way at 10-1. Several bookies are going four places.
