Good Omens author Neil Gaiman faces new allegations of raping a babysitter
Months after the initial allegations against author Neil Gaiman, which he denies, four more women have come forward with sexual assault claims.
One of the women who has spoken out against The Good Omens author is Scarlett Pavlovich, who was working as the nanny for his five-year-old son at the time.
Pavlovich was included in the initial complaints published by Tortoise Media but has now told New York Magazine how he assaulted her while his son was in the hotel room.
She claims that Gaiman, 64, raped her under the covers after she tried to signal to him she did not wish to have sex and asked: ‘What the f**k are you doing.’
During the alleged assault on February 19, 2022, Pavlovich claimed he continued to speak to his son, who was playing on an iPad and facing the bed.
She says she was in a ‘state of shock’ and froze as Gaiman urinated on his hand and told her to ‘lick it off’. He then allegedly insisted she gave him oral sex while the bathroom door was still open.

The author has denied the allegations stating that all relationships were consensual and has since told New York Magazine this hotel incident was ‘false’ and ‘deplorable’.
Pavlovich recalled other incidents including joining her naked in the bath and – despite her explicitly saying ‘no’ – ejaculated on her face.
He reportedly called her his ‘slave’, engaging in BDSM with the accusers who at some points played along but allege this was not always discussed or agreed upon beforehand.
She told the magazine he allegedly attempted to have anal sex with her using butter as lubricant which she objected to as it wasn’t ‘hygienic’.
According to the publication, he replied ‘Are you defying your master’ and she ‘had to lick [her] own s**t’.
Representatives for Gaiman previously told Tortoise: ‘Sexual degradation, bondage, domination, sadism and masochism may not be to everyone’s taste, but between consenting adults, BDSM is lawful.’
Pavlovich did remain in contact with Gaiman after this and is said to have reassured him that their interactions were consensual, although she did file a police report which has since been closed.

She claims she told his ex-wife Amanda Palmer about the relationship, stating she ‘didn’t have any choice in the matter’ and Palmer replied that ’14 women’ had informed her of experiences with him.
Another woman, Caroline, worked as a babysitter and began a physical relationship with Gaiman in 2017 after her split.
She claimed she had once fallen asleep reading stories to his son in Gaiman’s bed and when Gaiman returned, he reached over his son to put her hand ‘on his penis’.
‘He didn’t have boundaries,’ Caroline stated. ‘I remember thinking that there was something really wrong with him.’
Both Caroline and Pavlovich signed an NDA, being paid $300,000 and $9,200 respectively.
Gaiman’s representatives told New York Magazine that Caroline had ‘initiated the sexual encounters’ and denied engaging in ‘any sexual activity with her’ in the presence of his son.

Another woman, Kendra Stout, claims she had a physical relationship with the author three years after meeting him during a book signing when she was 18.
During a trip to Cornwall together, she alleges he raped her in 2007 after she repeatedly said ‘no’ due to having a UTI. NY Magazine said she has since filed a police report.
Katherine Kendall, who met Gaiman in 2012 when she was 22, said he attempted to assault her on a tour bus and later gave her $60k for therapy to ‘make up for the damage’, as per a recorded phone call.
Gaiman’s Netflix show Dead Boy Detectives was given the chop and the final season Good Omens was shortened to a finale episode after the previous allegations.
While some of Gaiman’s projects have been put on pause or cancelled, Netflix is still moving ahead with season two of The Sandman.
Amazon is also releasing adaptation of novel Anansi Boys later this year, which the author is listed as an executive producer and wrote two episodes for.
