Man in 20s arrested after woman in 80s found dead with knife wounds

A man in his twenties has been arrested after a woman in her eighties was found dead at a house in Tunbridge Wells.

Both were discovered with knife wounds, and the man has been taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

It is believed that the pair are known to each other.

A disturbance at a house in Bright Ridge, part of the Southborough area in the Kent town, was reported to police shortly before 11pm last night.

The man was then arrested on suspicion of murder.

Kent Police is not currently looking for anyone else in relation to the incident, and officers remain at the scene.
