Luxury watches worth £120,000 stolen from city centre jewellers
Two men stole high-end watches worth £120,000 from a luxury jewellers before making it away on foot.
The two men were caught on CCTV stealing from the Mappin and Webb shop in broad daylight on Saturday afternoon.
Police officers are keen to speak to two men and have released images of the suspects.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said the two men stole multiple watches worth around £120,000 after entering the store in East Street, Chichester, at around 2pm on August 17.
The pair fled the area on foot along St John’s Street and cut across a car at the junction as they made their getaway.
The force released images of two men suspected of carrying out the theft.
One man is described as white with a skinny build wearing a black baseball cap, sunglasses, a light coloured top and skinny blue jeans. He was also wearing white trainers.
The other suspect is described as a white man of average build wearing a black jumper, a black baseball cap with a white H on the front, blue jeans and black trainers.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “We are particularly keen to speak to the driver of that vehicle, anyone who witnessed the incident or was driving along St John’s Street around that time.
“Anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage is also asked to contact police online or via 101, quoting serial 804 of 17/08.”
