A former head designer at Rolls-Royce was found stabbed to death on the doorstep of his £3,000,000 mansion.

Retired Brit, Ian Cameron, 74, was attacked, reportedly by a man, at his home in Bavaria, Germany on Friday evening, according to local media.

Police say the suspect fled on foot and have launched a man hunt to find him.

The CCTV over the garages where high valuables were kept had the power cables cut, reports The Sun.

Investigators have been scouring their house in Herrsching at Lake Ammersee for evidence.

Search teams, meanwhile, are using dogs and a helicopter in their hunt for the killer.

Mr Cameron, who lived with his wife Verena Kloos, was a vintage car expert who retired from Rolls-Royce in 2013, after 20 years at the firm.

He worked on the design of models such as the 3 Series, Z8, Phantom and Ghost.

The suspect is said to be around 180cm to 190cm tall, and was wearing light trousers, a dark blue hoodie and yellow-green gloves while carrying a red rucksack.

A police officer told The Sun it is ‘extremely rare’ that a burglar who prepares enough to disable CCTV then ‘stabs and kills’ a person.
