Harvey Weinstein has been hospitalised in New York City.

The disgraced movie producer, 72, has ‘a ton of health issues’, his lawyer stated.

Arthur Aidala, Weinstein’s attorney, confirmed that his client had been taken to Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan after doctors on Rikers Island examined him.

Weinstein was taken to Rikers Island – a 413-acre prison island in the East River in the Bronx – from an upstate prison under the appeal ruling from two days ago, in which is 2020 rape conviction was overturned.

The doctors sent him to Bellevue for more tests, with Aidala describing Weinstein’s health as ‘a train wreck’, to TMZ.

Aidala confirmed he has spoken with Weinstein following his release from an upstate prison.

He said he is ‘in good spirits’ and ‘happy with his medical care.’

No further information as to his current state has been divulged.

However, his health woes are well-documented, as he is reportedly dealing with cardiac issues, diabetes, sleep apnea, and eye problems.
