Keanu Reeves enjoys 'fish and chips for lunch' during surprise pub visit
Keanu Reeves is said to have treated himself to fish and chips during a visit to a pub in Hertfordshire this weekend.
The actor, 58 - who is best known for his roles in films like The Matrix and John Wick - is understood to have visited The Robin Hood in Tring yesterday (February 4) for lunch.
The pub later took to Facebook to share a photo of Keanu behind the bar, alongside one of its employees. And it wrote about the experience in the accompanying caption.
He was seen wearing a black t-shirt, which he had paired with a black jacket for the outing. And the actor opted to wear a pair of black pants as part of the casual look.
The business' post yesterday read: "So today had a surprise visitor for lunch. What a lovely man he was too. [We] asked if he would be ok with taking photos with the kitchen lads."
'I started my business with £50 at uni - now it's a multi-million pound empire'The pub continued in the caption: "He marched into the kitchen, shook their hands and praised them for the food they had prepared. Suffice to say he made their days!"
Staff member Laura Rolfe spoke to Metro about Keanu's visit this weekend, telling the outlet that he arrived at around 12.30pm and had been joined by a companion.

Discussing his order, she said: "He came to the bar and ordered a beer (Seafarers Ale) and just walked over to the corner. He ordered fish and chips and Nat's shepherd's pie."
Laura said that when she took cutlery over to his table, she asked if anyone else would be joining Keanu and his guest. She said: "He said 'No, we want to try both [meals]".
It's unclear why Keanu had been in the area. The visit comes after he was spotted within Northamptonshire last year, including having surprised a couple at their wedding.
It was suggested at the time that he was in the UK for a Disney Plus docuseries about Formula 1. It was announced last year that he would front a project about Brawn GP.
