Trademark documents have revealed what Meghan Markle is selling with her new brand American Riviera Orchard.

The Duchess of Sussex, 42, made the surprise announcement on Thursday, as she shared the news with shocked royal fans on Instagram. Posting a clip teasing details of the new lifestyle venture, Meghan revealed the brand had been “established in 2024”, and hinted that she would be selling homewares, as well as food, in the brief promotional video.

While she’s yet to confirm publicly what American Riviera Orchard will be selling, official trademark documents have shed light on what Meghan will be selling to fans. Filed on February 2 by a company called Mama Knows Best, LLC based in Beverly Hills, and pending review by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, American Riviera Orchard will be selling a variety of items, including tableware, table cutlery, servingware, decanters, dinnerware, chargers, napkin rings, and table placecard holders.

Hinting at the possibility of further branching out with her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard will also be providing downloadable and printed cookbooks and recipe books, as well as coffee and tea services in the nature of tableware. While Meghan has yet to confirm if a cookbook publishing deal is in the works, it has been reported she will be launching a new Netflix cookery show to coincide with the launch of her new brand.

Other items include glassware, beverageware, tablecloths, placemats and napkins, kitchen and table linens, and fabric gift wrap. Eagle-eyed fans suggested that Meghan’s foray into napkins and tablecloths could be a sweet nod towards the Royal Family, who are well known for their prim and proper dining etiquette. But it’s not just tableware and cookware the Duchess will be selling under her American Riviera Orchard brand.

Food is also on the menu for Meghan, as the trademark details “jellies, jams; marmalades; fruit preserves; edible oils and fats, and preserves; vegetable-based spreads; legume-based spreads; nut-based spreads; garlic-based spreads; sesame-based spreads; dairy-based spreads; nut butters; fruit butters.” Decanters for oil, as well as jellies and jams, were spotted dotted around the kitchen island in Meghan’s promotional video for her lifestyle brand, seemingly confirming cute condiments will be up for sale.

It also details “retails tore services” in the trademark documents, suggesting that American Riviera Orchard will be branching out with “foods, books, tableware and tablescape goods, table linens, and servingware; online retail store services featuring food and beverages, books, tableware and tablescape goods, table linens, and servingware,” being sold in shops across the US. It’s not yet known if the brand will be launching in the UK, or will be limited to America for the foreseeable future.
