A mega £110million EuroMillions jackpot is up for grabs tonight - but will it be you who scoops this life-changing sum of money?

To play EuroMillions, you pick five main numbers and two Lucky Stars, or you can choose a "lucky dip" which is where numbers are generated for you. Draws take place every Tuesdays and Fridays and a ticket costs £2.50.

But like with all National Lottery games, EuroMillions is ultimately a gamble and game of chance - so even picking the most common winning numbers won't increase your chances on scooping the jackpot. This is because each draw is a separate event, so any numbers can be called out. The chance of matching all five EuroMillions numbers and the two bonus balls is 1 in 139,838,160.

Most common EuroMillions numbers

A spokesperson from Allwyn, which runs EuroMillions, told The Mirror the most drawn numbers are: 23, 21, 19, 44 and 50. Number has been drawn 198 times, number 21 has been called 196 times, and 19 has come up 195 times. Number 44 has been selected 194 times and 50 has been called 192 times.

The most common Lucky Stars are 3 and 2, which have been drawn 350 and 347 times respectively. EuroMillions originally had Lucky Star numbers ranging from 1 to 9 when it launched in 2004, but this was increased to 1 to 11 in May 2011, then from 1 to 12 in September 2016. This means numbers 10, 11 and 12 haven't been around as long as some the lower numbers, so keep that in mind when you take into account the most commonly drawn Lucky Stars.

Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said “EuroMillions players' hearts will be racing this weekend with this exciting EuroMillions £110million super jackpot ready to be won. I’ve been lucky enough to have met so many players that have won big on The National Lottery, and the best advice I can give to any new winner is to take your time to plan out what you want to do with the win and who you want to help out.

“Whilst supercars and extravagant holidays are great, it’s always best to take a minute to really think about what you want to spend the life-changing win on before rushing into making any big decisions. My team and I have our fingers crossed for all UK players and are on standby to support our big winners as they start their life-changing journey.”
