Emmerdale fans 'work out' Ruby's downfall after 'unexpected duo' scene
Emmerdale fans are convinced they've rumbled Ruby Fox-Milligan's downfall.
Ruby, played by Beth Cordingly, made an explosive debut earlier this year as the estranged wife of Caleb Milligan. However, the fiery character has wasted no time in isolating herself from the village and making enemies.
Earlier this year, Ruby exposed her on-off husband Caleb's affair with Tracy Metcalfe in spectacular fashion. Since then, Ruby has made Tracy's life a misery, even savagely ruining her dream nursery business and presentation. Elsewhere, Ruby has sparked concern with her controlling antics towards Caleb.
In a recent episode, after weeks of her causing drama and isolating Caleb from the Dingles, she was thrilled to have finally turned the whole family against him. On Thursday night's episode, Ruby turned her attentions on Charity Dingle and Kerry Wyatt.
After a barrage of verbal abuse aimed at Charity and Kerry, the two characters, who had previously come to blows, teamed up to put Ruby in her place, where she was barred from The Woolpack. Taking to social media, soap watchers were quick to comment on the scenes.
EastEnders' Jake Wood's snap of son has fans pointing out the pair's likenessOne person said: "Oooooo Charity and Kerry an unexpected duo!", a different account put: "Hope they’ve teamed up to give ruby a taste of her own medicine", another wrote: "Great team!", a different viewer said: "And then she messed with Charity. Fool….. crazy fool!" while another added: "Ruby really doesn’t know what she’s up against with Charity."
Ruby joined Emmerdale earlier this year and her character is described as being "fiery, confident, unpredictable and a fiercely devoted mum" to son Nicky. Actress Beth, who plays Ruby, said at the time: "I’m delighted to be joining the cast of Emmerdale, it’s an enormous privilege and Ruby is a dream role. She’s a firecracker and a trouble-maker and I think people will love her or hate her, and I can’t wait to get stuck in with this fabulous cast."
While producer Kate Brooks added: "Ruby is an absolute force of nature who sweeps through the village with scores to settle. Fiercely loyal to her family, Ruby will do anything and everything to protect her loved ones.
"Her relationship with Caleb is infused with intense passion that manifests itself as the ultimate volatile relationship. Ruby is a character who pulls no punches and always makes an impression. We're delighted to welcome Beth to the show and we're sure she'll make a wonderful addition to the village."
