Caleb Williams has been dropping hints about his preferred team through his social media activity. The 22-year-old is widely expected to be picked first by the Chicago Bears, despite the team still having Justin Fields on their roster.

This comes after the Bears decided not to select Bryce Young last year, opting instead to acquire D. J. Moore from the Carolina Panthers in a trade. With the trade market for Fields cooling as free agency begins, the situation becomes more complex.

However, it seems that Williams is ready to make Chicago his professional home. He's been paying attention to what people are saying about him, even "liking" a post on X (formerly Twitter ) from Kay Adams discussing him potentially playing in Chicago.

The post included a clip from her show "Up and Adams", where Hall of Fame return specialist Devin Hester explained why he'd choose Fields over Williams. Hester said: "There's a lot of stuff going on with Caleb right now,.

"And me as a GM, I don't want to bad mouth anybody, but it's too much attention going on right now with a quarterback like that. We look at all the quarterbacks that come in the draft and have a lot of things going on. It seems to carry them out throughout their career."

He then clarified: "Things off the field. It could be small things, could be big things, but it's just too much right now. And I feel like the type of quarterback he is, Justin Fields is similar but better with running the ball. I don't see a big difference.

"Now, if you're seeing a big difference in two guys when you're drafting a quarterback, (that's different). (If) you see a big difference in the quarterback you're trying to draft compared to the quarterback you have, and the quarterback that you're trying to draft is showing more excitement and is just better, then you go out and get that quarterback.

"But these two guys are similar. I mean, I don't feel like you should go out and draft a quarterback similar to what you already have."

There's no hint yet that the Bears won't choose Williams, who spoke highly of the team before the NFL Combine. And it appears he is keeping receipts from those suggesting he's not the right man for the franchise.

"If I get drafted by the Bears, I'll be excited," he told ESPN in late February. "If they trade the pick, and I get drafted by someone else, I'm just as excited. Speaking about Chicago, they have a talented team, a talented offense and defense."

"For anyone to be in that situation, I think they'd be excited." He later admitted: "At the end of the day, the Bears have the last say."
