BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Karim Zeroual welcomes first child and shares name
Strictly Come Dancing star Karim Zeroual has revealed he has become a first time dad.
The 30-year-old television presenter and actor has welcomed a daughter with his partner, Yazminn Greene - with the couple also sharing the name of their bundle of joy. Fans of Strictly will recall that Karim was a contestant during season 17 of the show in 2019 where he was partnered with professional dancer Amy Dowden. The duo were runners up behind winner Kelvin Fletcher and his dance partner Oti Mabuse.
Away from the dancefloor, Karim has been in a romance with Yazminn and they are now proud parents of a baby girl. Taking to social media on Thursday, the proud dad shared news about the arrival - writing: "Zayna Romy Zeroual. Born 11th March 2024. Love you for eternity! Welcome to the world Squidge!"
He shared a video montage of photographs of his bundle of joy - showing baby Zayna dressed in tiny clothes and a little hat. Images showed him cradling his daughter and also Yazminn looking glowing following the birth.

He revealed he has named his daughter Zayna Romy Zeroual (karim__zeroual / Instagram)His post was met with a wall of support and messages with Stacey Dooley among those responding as she wrote: "No STOP" alongside a string of pink heart emojis. Dance partner Amy also responded, writing: "Congratulations" alongside a number of pink sparkly heart emojis. And a fan replied: "Massive congratulations to you both! Such a beautiful name for a beautiful little lady."

Karim initially announced he would be becoming a father back in January when he took to social media to share photos of himself and his pregnant girlfriend. He wrote online at the time: "It’s been a minute family! I’m back with my proudest news yet! Baby Zeroual coming March 2024. You are so loved already baby girl."
He also gushed over his romance with Yazminn - sharing loved up snaps on Valentine's Day last month. He wrote at the time: "Happy valentines to my ride or die!!! Will forever love you and appreciate you. Can’t wait for our next chapter with our little bubba."
He has not always been lucky in love, however, as Karim struggled to find a partner that could last. Fans of reality shows will recall he was a contestant on E4's Celebs Go Dating during lockdown. He featured on the show when a host of celebs were shacked up together in a luxury mansion. While he seemed to get on well with a fellow contestant named Whitney, the romance didn't last long once cameras stopped rolling.
Karim went on to meet Yazminn in 2021 and the romance has gone from strength to strength in the time since. As well as being a contestant on Strictly and hosting a number of TV shows, Karim has acted on screen and appeared on shows including EastEnders, DaVinci's Demons, and Horrible Histories: Gory Games.
