Prince Harry and his brother Prince William's "poisonous" feud is an absolute "disaster" for the Royal Family, says a royal expert.

Tom Quinn, royal expert and author exclusively tells The Mirror that the fallout between the future King and his younger brother is one of the "biggest headaches" for the palace. The Royal Family has been hit by one catastrophe after the next this year with health struggles and even Photoshop scandals hitting senior royals where it hurts.

But Quinn says that Harry and William's feud is the one disaster the palace communications team is struggling to manage - and it doesn't look good for anyone. "The feud is a disaster for the boys but even more so for the royal family and especially King Charles," Quinn says. "I’ve been told that one of the biggest headaches for the palace communications teams is dealing with the feud between the boys and the fallout from it and there is a lot of relief that Harry is mostly out of the picture."

But the usual "relief" that Harry's absence brings for the palace is not in play tonight as the Duke will appear at the same event as his brother from his home in California via video link. The Prince of Wales will attend Princess Diana's memorial event at the Science Museum in London in person while the Duke of Sussex will appear virtually. William is expected to give a speech and present awards but will leave the ceremony before Harry joins a video call with the winners.

Royal expert Tom Quinn tells us the event has been specially coordinated so the feuding brothers can avoid eachother. "William and Harry just cannot bear to be in the same room together because they have said unforgivable things to each other, but they are also conscious that if they did attend the Diana event together, the world would be watching for the inevitable awkwardness, the inevitable coldness and refusal to look into each other’s eyes," Quinn tells us.

The brothers have not appeared in public together since they greeted well-wishers following the Queen's death in September 2022. It was the last time William and Harry - and Princess Kate and Meghan Markle - appeared in public together. And so the brothers weren't keen to reunite in front of the world at tonight's event.

"William and Harry just don’t want the headlines that would inevitably follow a meeting that showed anything less than a warm embrace and a warm embrace is something they know they can’t do," Quinn tells us. "Photographs of the two bothers looking awkward and cold, and avoiding each other’s eyes would look exactly like those terrible pictures of their parents in the run up to their split."
