Cheryl's brutal dig at Louis Walsh after he compared her to Katie Price
Cheryl and Celebrity Big Brother contestant Louis Walsh may have been all smiles as they sat together on The X Factor panel together over the years, but there is certainly no love lost between the two stars.
The pair's feud began back in the late 00s when Louis, who was managing Cheryl and the rest of Girls Aloud at the time, had a falling out with all five members of the girlband after calling them fat. Cheryl and Louis seemingly patched things up by 2008, when the mum-of-one joined the X Factor judging panel.
Cheryl quit the now defunct ITV show in 2011 but returned for series eleven and twelves in 2014 and 2015. Speaking about the possibility of the Geordie star appearing on the 2018 series, Louis said at the time: "If Cheryl comes back that's fine. Look, we would agree to disagree on certain things but that's what makes it good. We all get on."
But despite Louis' seemingly kind words, a truce hadn't exactly been formed between himself and Cheryl. In 2010, Louis compared Cheryl to a peacock as he said she thought The X Factor was "her show" and teased her on-air for looking orange. Chezza didn't hold back, saying: "Louis is a silly old man looking for attention."
The following year, the singer said Louis only "took the cheques" when he managed Girls Aloud, which made Louis reply: "I am a much better manager than she is a singer. She seems to be in the fashion business now, selling fake hairpieces, fake eyelashes, fake everything."
Katie Price and Danielle Lloyd 'bury the hatchet' after documentary feudBut Louis' most savage comment came in 2011, when he compared Cheryl to former glamour model Katie Price. Discussing Cheryl's huge rose tattoo, which covers most of the singer's back and bum, Louis branded the inking "chavarama" and said: "It's something Katie Price would've done".
As Girls Aloud prepare for their 20th anniversary tour, without late bandmate Sarah Harding, the group once managed by Louis have the perfect chance to hit back at the Celebrity Big Brother contestant's constant jibes. While Cheryl, Nicola Roberts, Nadine Coyle and Kimberley Walsh are yet to take a swipe at their old foe, their past comments still ring true.
In 2007, during an interview, Cheryl - married to footballer Ashley Cole at the time, asked a journalist what they thought of Louis. "We don’t like him, do we girls?" Cheryl then admitted, before turning to her bandmates who all agreed with the Fight For This Love singer's declaration.
Amid Louis' slagging-off sessions inside the Celebrity Big Brother house, with Irish brother Jedward and Boyzone singer Ronan Keating all suffering from his sharp tongue, time will only tell if Cheryl and her Girls Aloud bandmates get criticised by their former music manager during his time on the ITV show. If they do, Cheryl will likely revisit her comments in 2010 and brand Louis "a silly old man looking for attention" once again.
