Fern Britton makes heartbreaking claim about finding love again after divorce
Fern Britton will make a heartbreaking comment about her love life on Celebrity Big Brother tonight.
The This Morning presenter was with Clive Jones between 1988 and 2000, before she dated Phil Vickery, with the pair splitting back in 2020 and ending their marriage. Two years later, Phil was seen kissing his ex-wife's best friend, Lorraine Stanton.
During a chat on Celebrity Big Brother this evening, Fern and Louis swap tales on their lessons of life and love," with Fern sharing: "I'm ready to slow down, like you, I’ve been working solidly since I was 20."
Louis agrees and adds: "You realise what life is, and realise why haven’t I done this before, why didn’t I go there, why didn’t I do that?" before he chimed in to share: "Fern, if you pick the right person you’ll have great fun, you might fall in love." In response, Fern later admits that she "doesn't want to fall in love again" as she has a frank chat with Louis.
Ferne has previously explained how her marriage with her ex-husband ended after one heartbreaking conversation.

Fern was married to Phil between 2000 and 2020 (ITV)Reflecting on her split, she said: "We simply needed to follow our own paths. Over time we realised we weren't necessarily having the kind of life we once did. It seemed right to say 'thank you' and move on. But we do have a good friendship. Phil and I had the greatest fun together and we have the most beautiful daughter together, Winnie.... as so we will always be connected."
She added: "Life has changed for me in the last 10 years, especially with my career. So it's lovely to think I can just concentrate on writing, the kids and getting on with life. This feels quite comfortable, and Phil and I knew it was the right thing to do."
Their split was confirmed back in 2020, when she issued a statement, which read: "After more than 20 happy years together, Phil and I have decided to go our separate ways. We will always share a great friendship and our lovely children . We would appreciate it if our privacy is respected at this time. Thankyou for your continued kindness and support."
Phil added at the time: "After more than 20 years together Fern and I have decided to go our separate ways. We will always share a great friendship and our lovely children. Thank you for you kindness and support P."
Fern and Phil got married back in 2000 after meeting on the set of Ready Steady Cook, before later tying the knot once her divorce from TV executive Clive Jones was finalised. Fern and Phil have daughter Winnie together and she also has twins Jack and Harry and daughter Grace from her previous marriage to Clive.
