Carole Middleton's sweet nickname for daughters Pippa and Kate Middleton
Carole Middleton is a very proud mother of three - including the Princess of Wales. But what does she call her eldest daughter, the future Queen, behind closed doors?
Princess Kate, 42, is the eldest of the three Middleton siblings followed by Pippa, 40, and their brother James, 36.
The family are all incredibly close and Kate has spoken on a number of occasions about how supportive her parents are, and her bond with Pippa and James.
In a candid interview with the Telegraph in December 2018, Carole gave a fascinating insight into her life - and inadvertently revealed what she calls her two girls.
She was asked about her involvement in Kate and Pippa's weddings; Kate famously married Prince William at Westminster Abbey in April 2011 while Pippa wed hedge fund manager James Matthews in 2017.

In response, Carole replied: "We talked about music… everything. I was involved lots with both Pip's and Catherine's wedding. But I think the most important thing, as a parent, is to listen to what your daughter wants. You can have all the ideas in the world, but it has to be about them. And don't muscle in on the guest list."
Carole also spoke about her role as a grandmother - "Granny Middleton" - to seven children, including Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Middle daughter Pippa also has three children - Arthur, five, Grace, four, and one-year-old Rose - while James welcomed son Inigo with his wife, Alizée Thevenet, in October last year.
"I love it. I'm definitely hands-on. I don't find it complicated," she said. My biggest fear [as her children grew up] was that I'd lose my family, but we've stayed close."
In another interview with Good Housekeeping , Carole said she likes to "run down the hills, climb the trees and go through the tunnel at the playground".
"As long as I am able to, that's what I'll be doing," she revealed. "I cook with them, I muck around dancing, we go on bike rides."
One expert in the past has spoken about how William's 'second mum' Carole taught him 'how a loving and supportive family works'.
Kate's mother has provided a "real sense of normality amid any chaos" for the Prince since he married Kate in 2011, royal biographer Angela Levin told The Sun in 2021.
"[Carole] made him feel secure, comfortable and protected and he didn't have to worry about what he said or be responsible for her emotions."
