Samsung may have just announced the release of its feature-packed new Galaxy A Series of devices but the firm has been beaten to the budget chase by Nothing. The fledgling technology brand also has a low-cost call maker and it’s gone on sale this week. You’ll have to wait until March 20 to get your hands on those new Galaxy devices.

The Nothing Phone (2a) certainly packs a punch for its low £319 price with this smartphone getting a bright 6.7-inch screen, speedy MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro processor and unique design that includes Nothing’s clever Glyph Interface.

This technology consists of a lightning system that glows and flashes to alert you of calls and texts coming in when the screen is face-down on your desk.

And that's not all as it also serves as a timer, as your camera shutter countdown or in collaboration with third-party apps. This means you can keep an eye on the progress of your pizza delivery or taxi ride without having to be on your screen.

Along with that light show on the rear case, the Phone 2(a) also has a dual-lens rear camera with Night Mode, improved image stabilisation and Ultra HDR mode to make sure everything snapped looks rich and packed with detail.

A big battery tucked under the aluminium shell offers long life and it supports 45W Fast Charging, delivering 50% of power in just 20 minutes.

If all that sounds enticing and you like the look of it, the Phone (2a) is available right now for £319.

Of course, if you don’t want to leave Samsung’s trusted eco-system then there are those Galaxy A phones arriving next week.

These include the Galaxy A35 5G and A55 5G which now get a feature called Samsung Knox Vault. This robust safety function helps protect the devices from vicious malware along with keeping personal files and data away from prying eyes.

This service, which has never been available on the A-Series before, now makes these new call makers far tougher for cyber crooks to crack.

To help users feel even safer, Samsung has also added its Auto Blocker. This opt-in package can stop dodgy app installations and instantly scan for potential rel="nofollow" target="_blank">• SEE FULL AND HOW TO BUY THE NOTHING PHONE (2A) HERE
